What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a drug free, surgery free non invasive treatment of the spine and extremities. It is a very low risk treatment; Doctors of Chiropractic are trained to recognise conditions that require referral elsewhere and will advise you if this is the case.

How can treatment help me?

Chiropractic concerns itself with the relationship between structure and function of the human body and how its relationship affects the restoration and preservation of health.

Subluxations occur when vertebrae become misaligned or fixated causing interference with the mental impulses that travel between the brain and the rest of the body. This leads to imbalance, fatigue, pain and general decline in health.

Why see a chiropractor?

As we get older many people expect a certain amount of degeneration such as grey hair and wrinkles. Frequently patients remark that they have had aches and pains in their back or hips and assumed it is part of the aging process. However, pain of any kind, at any age is a sign that something isn’t right.

Pain is the way your body signals that a limit has been reached or a problem has developed. Since we can adapt our posture to compensate, minor aches and pain are shrugged off. While the pain may go away the underlying problem remains unattended and slowly worsens until it becomes more difficult to resolve.
